the number of Veterinarians and Technical Personnel are distributed in the following : 11 faculties of Veterinary Medicine distributed on geographical and epidemiological bases; 3 main Veterinary Research Institutes (Animal Health Research Institutes (AHRI), Veterinary Serum and Vaccine Research Institute (VSVRI) and Animal Reproduction Research Institute (ARRI); 26 regional diagnostic laboratories distributed all over the country i.e. one in each governorate and in a recently implemented and online functioning Central Epidemiology Planning Unit in the Main Office at GOVS and relevant subunits within the governorates.
