Organization of the OIE regional Commission for Europe

The Regional Commission for Europe is one of the five existing Commissions that have been created by the OIE to study specific problems encountered by Veterinary Services and organize cooperation activities at regional level.

Each Commission organizes every two years a Regional Conference in one of the countries of the region. These conferences are devoted to technical items and to regional cooperation for the control of animal diseases.

A meeting of the Regional Commission involving all OIE Delegates of the region and regional organizations is also held every year during the General Session the last week of May. Regional Commissions report on their activities and submit recommendations to the General Assembly of Delegates.
